This week's theme is 'People who help us', and we are looking forward to visits from a farmer with his tractor, the police, a doctor and a dance teacher. Our pilot was a huge success last week. We very much appreciate the generosity of parents who have volunteered their time, even after night shifts and long days, and know how much the children enjoy and learn from the visits.

Indoors, our theme area will be a Fire Station, with calls coming in, maps at the ready to find our way and equipment to put on. We will be ambulances, police cars and fire engines in our song "Make way, make way" as we move with intent to the emergency!

Outside, we will have fun mixing herbs in the mud kitchen and investigating things that spin in out tuff spot. There will even be a Humpty Dumpty mystery to solve - who committed the crime?!

The Discoverers' word of the week is equipment.
