We hope you all have a lovely Bank Holiday weekend. Last week was very busy. The Barn space rocket went on many missions, with the children keen to fly into outer space and dress up in their astronaut suits. Outdoors, we had fun making rockets, planting flowers, playing with the water and making chocolate cake in the mud pit.
This week, the children will be able to build towers, castles and homes with the big bricks. We will be thinking about people who live in different countries, finding where the places are on the map of the world, and talking about the similarities and differences between them. In the Discoverers room, the Owl Babies story will be read in a different language each day and our theme in both rooms is "Friends around the World". The Explorers will have fun, catching the beat to music from different parts of the world.
Outside there will be a bee exploration table to explore and children will have opportunities to paint friendship rocks which they can choose to hide for their friends to find and discover. The Discoverers' word of the week is Where.
