Week beginning 16th March

The eggs arrived on Tuesday morning and so far, 4 yellow ducklings have hatched! We even got to watch one as soon as they arrived. This week we will be able to hold them and watch them swim for the first time in our special duck pool.The Discoverers' children will be busy keeping a Duck Diary with their drawings and comments.

The walls in The Barn are looking colourful with the children’s pictures of spring flowers and pastel prints.

This week we will be looking at spring growth, learning about what plants need to grow, and how they make flowers and seeds. The Discoverers will be acting out the story of Jack and the beanstalk, and the Explorers will be learning the rhyme “These are the flower buds”.

The florist shop has opened in the theme area and the children will be buying and selling flowers. Payment will be contactless! Discoverers' word of the week: Sprouting.
