Week beginning 22nd June

We had a lovely week, enjoying lots of pretend picnics and water play in the sunshine. Our caterpillars will hopefully be spinning their cocoons this week and we have harvested spring onions from from the garden and are busy watering the beans and flowers.
This week, we will explore the prehistoric world. Dinosaurs and their bones have been uncovered at The Barn. We will be looking at the size and eating habits of dinosaurs, examining some old fossils and asking what they tell us about the past.
The children will be singing dinosaur songs and rhymes at gathering times and enjoying various small world scenarios involving dinosaurs, both inside and out.
A gentle reminder to please check that your child's hat and clothes are clearly labelled to ensure things go home correctly at the end of the day.
The Discoverers' word of the week is stomp!
