This week, the children will be enacting the Christmas story. They will also be exploring the story independently, looking after baby Jesus and the animals in the stable.
We will be continuing with our Christmas concert preparations and singing Away In A Manger. The children will all be making a card and helping to create a Christmas story scene, involving camels, kings, shepherds, and angels. Lots of busy, creative fun with sparkle, glue, and paint.
Outside, there is more festive fun in the mud kitchen, a sensory fusion of cinnamon sticks, orange slices and holly ready for Christmas pudding preparation. They will also be helping to decorate the garden to celebrate the festivities.
This week folders will be staying at The Barn until after Christmas. They will still have Rainbow times, but no folders will be sent home.
We also have a request if anyone has a small Christmas tree they are looking at replacing amd would like to donate to The Barn. The children in the Discoverers' room to would love to play and decorate their own tree.
The Discoverers word of the week is Stable.
